Coated Fabric Buying Guide
Bring the application, construction and coating requirements together before approving bulk specifications.
Share a reference or application
Send a physical sample or describe the finished product, use conditions and performance priorities. A catalogue configuration is a useful starting point.
Match construction and coating
Confirm composition, weave, yarn or denier, width, weight, color, coating and finish. Ripstop is a construction attribute that can occur across different base fabrics.
Separate targets from results
Hydrostatic, UV and FR requirements need an agreed test method and acceptance target. A configuration target or finish option is not a universal verified result or certification.
Understand fabric MOQ
Bulk fabric MOQ is 50,000 meters. Greige purchasing, dyeing, coating setup and color consistency affect the order; confirm the selected construction before quotation.
Review finished products separately
Finished-cover and tent projects can be coordinated with partner factories. Their MOQ is confirmed separately by specification, size and quantity. Browse Kuoheng Outdoor for finished-product directions.
Compare fabric specifications before sampling
Which construction should I compare?
Start with the finished-product application and a reference sample where available. Compare Oxford, polyester taffeta and pongee for the required construction, coating and handling. Review garment lining fabrics separately when the intended use is a lining. A catalogue category is a starting point; confirm suitability for the selected specification.
Which measurements belong in a fabric inquiry?
Provide composition, weave, yarn specification, fabric width, fabric weight in g/m², color, coating and finish. Confirm fabric weight separately from yarn denier (D). Include the intended use, quantity and destination so the quotation refers to a defined fabric configuration.
Is a hydrostatic target a verified waterproof result?
A requested target describes the requirement to review. It does not prove that an offered fabric or finished product has passed a test. For example, the 210D Oxford PU silver fabric and 190T taffeta PU silver fabric pages identify requested hydrostatic targets. Agree the test method, selected coating, sample identity and acceptance criteria, then review applicable results. UV, flame-retardant and DWR options also require confirmation for the specific configuration.
How is the bulk MOQ applied?
Bulk fabric MOQ is 50,000 meters. Color, construction and order-allocation conditions require project confirmation; combining colors or constructions to reach the minimum is not automatically accepted. Sample availability, charges, freight and timing are confirmed separately. Finished outdoor products have their own project-specific MOQ.
Use the fabric quotation form to send the application, reference sample or specification, quantity and destination. See the fabric sourcing FAQ for sample and supply-model questions.
